double tragus

Abscesses rarely heal themselves so they must be treated. They should not be drained until it is soft or a small pustule has formed. Larger abscesses may need to be drained by a healthcare professional and this would involve making an incision or lancing the abscess so that the pus drains out, antibiotics are then prescribed. Antibiotics are not usually very effective as they can't always penetrate the outer wall of the abscess which is formed by the surrounding cells to prevent the spread of infection.double tragus This means that medications can't reach the abscess to fight the infection.
