Ideas for reading room

Hi everyone, I am a mother of a 15-year-old. I and my hubby are employed. We are planning to build a small reading room for her next birthday. Her birthday is on 10th June. She is very fond of reading books especially adventure and fantasy stories. So, I am sure that this would be the best birthday gift ever.
We are adding this room to our first floor and hopefully, the construction works would be starting in a while. Along with this, we have our renovation works too. Our daughter would not be here since she is having her summer vacation from next month. She is going to our relative's home. So when she is back from our relative's home this would be a great surprise for her. We have a brief plan to add some extra decor to the room. We have also selected some light colored (since our daughter likes it the most) furniture.
My question is what kind of windows would suit the room? Is end vent sliders a good option? I have heard about double glazed and single glazed windows. Which one would be more efficient? I am totally confused since I got many options for slider windows from Edmonton. What are things I should look, for selecting the curtains and blinds? Please share your creative thoughts and ideas.
