Stan FINALLY fixed his truck .. we were back to a two car family, THEN ...

Yesterday he lost his ONE AND ONLY key to his truck

First of all .. who has ONLY ONE KEY to their truck! I mean it costs like $2 to get a key made .. COME ON!!!!

Second of all .. PUT THE KEY ON A RING ... he keeps his key loose. One single lone key hanging out in his pocket just waiting for him to loose it!!

SO I guess we will have to pay for a locksmith

And ... since it was 22 degrees this morning and our busdriver is a SLUSH, I had to take the Stan to work at 5:30 am so I could take the kids to school. On our way to school we wre behind the bus driver and SHE HIT A MAILBOX and kept on going!!! So I called 911 and reported her!!!

I have to go back to his work at 1pm tonight and get him ... OH PLEASE LET ME FIND THE KEY!!!!!

Yea .. get that. I have to find the key for him because he is working a 16 hour shift today and won't be able to look for it!!

I am full of RANTS today!!!!!

We had that one-key problem for a while. I took them and had copies made for myself. He had to find a ride all the way to my office (about 20 miles) to get his spare key!

Hope you find it. Check the washer, and all zippered pockets.

Good luck!

I hope you find the key, Roxanna!

Becky, your key sorta sounds like my mom's key for her Monte Carlo. It had a chip in the key and you had to send to the company to get one made and it was EXPENSIVE!

One key? We only have one key (for both vehicles!) , but it is outrageous to get them from the company and we don't have the extra cash.

Hope you find it.........ours are at the bottom of Sullivan lake along with both remotes.

Call a nearby auto Locksmith. This should be your first option. They generally they will give you the best deal on a new key, about half as much as it would cost to get a new key from your manufacturer or dealer. Normally they don’t charge to visit the car either. They’ll open your car and then proceed to make you a new key. While hardware stores aren’t generally equipped to create new car keys locksmiths usually have more sophisticated machinery. The older your vehicle, the better the odds that a locksmith will be able to help you with a replacement key.
