I'm glad you're online Kim. I have a blood spot on the cornea of my left eye. It started out a half moon shape this afternoon, but now it is pretty much covering that area between the iris and my nose. The neurologist called it a hemorage today. I think these things usually clear up on their own. About how long can I expect that to take? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process. I would rather not walk around with vampire eye even if it is festive and matching with the holiday.

Thanks, Michele. you are probably right I got it from throwing up so bad this morning. However, I could have had it Monday which is why the OB doctor was so worried about my eye.

Well, the blood spot stopped spreading sometime last night. It's about the same this morning. It's kind of sore from yesterday's examination at the neurologist.

No, it just looks bad. The exam hurt, because the eye is weak and not normal. I didn't ask the pivital question and they didn't volunteer the answer. Probably because I know the answer and they know they know. Will I eventually loose sight in that eye? I know the answer to that and I don't like it much.

I don't think it would be envitable with treatment. But without treatment every with attack of optic neurtis, it gets a little dimmer and a little weaker. Since I don't have insurance and the VA seems pretty determined to reject my claim, I don't know what's going to happen. The doctors at the hospital where I am having my baby are going to help me get this documented so I can eventally win my claim. However, not much can be done until after the baby is born. Therefore, I will have a flurry of appointments after she is born.

The blood spot will act like a bruise... it will take a bit, but the body will reabsorb it.
I'm sorry they can't do anything for your eye, but hopefully they will do as much as possible after the little one is here!
Good luck Lenora!
