I am 24 weeks pregnant now. It is the first baby for my husband and me. Several days ago, he bought a little stuff for me and my baby from Itunes Store. An iphone app specially designed for babies and moms-to-be.
The name is prenatal lullabies. We played it on my iphone that day. The music is very gentle and the instruction shows that those music have positive benefit to fetal development.
Personally speaking, I like listening to it very much. But my doctor suggest me be far from my phone and computer. He said radiation has bad effect on fetus. But some said it doesn’t have. I am wondering whether I should play prenatal lullabies for my baby on iphone or not.
I've never heard of phone radiation. Trying doing some research on the net about it. Once you have all the facts, then you can make an informed decision.

There are too much different information about this issue. But i'd like to believe the radiation is lilltle. It seems that we can't live without mobile phone and computer. i still play music on my iphone. Sometimes, i play prenatal lullabies and put it on my belly. The music is very gentle.
Everything in moderation. I would say go for like 15 minutes a day, and keep it limited. If we stopped doing everything due to every tiny risk, there would be nothing for us to do!
Welcome to the boards and congrats on the little one!

the way I look at it.....if the radiation from phones and computers and such was that bad....most of our babies would have "issues". When I was pg with my daughter I was learning how to design websites and such and was on my computer all the time. We also had family out of town so with both my kids I spent a ton of time on the phone with no issues....

Why do people make such a huge deal out of issues like this and scare people? I looked it up briefly. The gist is that radiation (if that's truly what it is and I don't think so) is so minimal you'd have to plaster it to yourself and run it constant for the entire 9 months before you MIGHT get damage. Not saying its not there, but why worry people about something that is never likely to happen? Especially expecting parents? Dont' they have enough to worry about?

Really, mercury in the water and fish was my big worry. I think every pregnant mom has at least one big worry. I think you and your baby will be fine.

Thanks. what you said made me feel fine. i shouldn't worry too much about raditation. Over worry will have bad effects on my baby and me.
