Loosing the weight

How long did it take you guys to loose all the baby weight and how did you do it? I have just started exercising a few days ago (had to wait till 6 weeks out). Anyway, I am probably being too hard on myself, hubby thinks I am anyway, but I seriously want to loose the weight like NOW! I want so badly to be able to zip something over these hips that's in my closet. Anyway, I am getting really bummed about my body - I hate it right now, I feel huge. Everyone else seems to think that I look really good for just having had a baby but I honestly think people just say that.

Re: Loosing the weight

It really just depends on the person. Some people end up smaller than when they got pregnant, but most never reach their pre pregnancy weight.

I gained alot of weight with both pregnancies. After my first son, it took a good 2 years to get to a size I really liked, but it took ALOT of working out. ALOT! And still, my body was not shaped the same (I actually had hips, which I liked).

Your weight loss will depend on so much (how much you weighed prepregnancy, how much did you gain, are you breastfeeding, etc)

If you are unrealistic about your weight loss, you are not going to be happy with your progress.

Re: Loosing the weight

Oh I know how you feel, I gained so much weight when I was preggo and I have lost 40 lbs and I lose about 1 lb every 3 days, I really can't exercise since my back is all jacked up and with working and being home alone it is a lot harder for me to go out and get some time for myself in. People say I look good but that isn't enough for me either I want to lose ALL the weight now, it isn't going to happen...well unless I do one of those super model diets LOL Binge and purge! hahaha

Give it time, Just try to exercise daily even if it is for 20 min.

I wish we were closer to each other because I need a workout buddy

Re: Loosing the weight

I was always 120 pounds my entire adult life. My first pregnancy with Jimmy, I swore I would not hit 180. I delivered at 178 pounds! took 2 years to lose the weight and still couldn't get under 129. I divorced, that caused stress I was 119 when I got pregnant with Jaedyn. I weighed 143 at delivery with her. It took only 6 months. I think it depends also on age. I was in my 30's for both my pregnancy. I believe that had a lot to do with the difference between the 2.

I think sleeping and resting when the baby is resting is important as well. Not only does it stop you from eating but it helps keep up your energy/hormone levels which also helps curb the appetite.

Small portions all day, lean cuisines never high sodium. Lot's of peanut butter, popcorn, cheese and oatmeal! Fresh fruits as much as I wanted all day...
I live by this eating routine. I do benge every once in awhile, whole box of little debbies

Re: Loosing the weight

tuna in spring water good! on salad but not with a boat load of mayo or oil.

tuna, I forgot NUTS first it was Walnuts then I switched to Pecans. They get expensive especially because I was eating a whole bag of raw nuts a week. I forgot to say I eat NO RED MEAT as all. Maybe 2 times a year that's it!!!

Re: Loosing the weight

I guess it depends on your physiology. There are girls who really lose weight easily like me. I walk our dog in the morning and eat just fish and veggies. In just 3 months, I lose 123 lbs after pregnancy.
