Cereal

What types of cereal do you buy for your self & your kids?

I usually end up picking something along the lines of trail mix for myself ... my favorite is Grapenuts Trail Mix but our store doesn't carry it so I settle on the Fiber One variety or something else.

My kids will usually get two of the following

Frosted Mini Wheats
Frosted Mini Wheats Little Bites (Chocolate)
Life
or
Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Re: Cereal

Since we are all allergic to milk, we don't do much cereal. Once in a blue moon, we have fruit loops.

Re: Cereal

Fruit loops are one of my favorites to eat as a dry snack! We don't buy them often though because they disappear in a day or two.

Re: Cereal

My kids love to eat cereal without milk. They love Cheerios, Cocoa Puffs, and Lucky Charms.
I like the Fiber One version of frosted shredded wheat.

Re: Cereal

I usually get whatever is the cheapest or on sale. I usually end up buying off brand cereal for Raisin Bran, Special K, cheerios, or honey bunches of oat. Every once in a while I'll be 'bad' and buy honeycomb or frosted flakes (sugary stuff). I love Lucky Charms and Cookie Crisp but I've been really good about not buying it much.

Have you tried soy milk, rice milk or almond milk? It's really good!

Re: Cereal

We usually get the organic healthy type stuff: anything by Kashi or Mother's Bumpers are our favorites. I also like Grape Nut Flakes, Basic 4, and Life. Aaron and Jeff like Cheerios so we get that too.

Re: Cereal

I'm a huge fan of the Kashi cereals Pam! ...and while they aren't my kids' first choice, if it is all we have in the house, they eat them with no complaints.
