Question Has anyone conceived using chlomid?

My doctor told us to think about trying this and I was wondering about all of the "pros and cons" with it. We have been TTC for three years and would appreciate any advice.

I was on Clomid for 6 cycles and never concieved, but I've had several friends who have. I actually concieved about 6 months after being off Clomid.

I had 3 cycles of Clomid & it didn't work. Of course, I had surgery & found out why it probably didn't work... another story....

My first preg. was super easy and we have a healthy boy. My second preg. was a partial molar preg. so we had to wait 6 months before we could try again. My cycles range from instead of 28 days more like 49 to 55 days.

I conceived using Clomid. The Clomid helped to produce 6 full-grown follicles. Unfortunately, the clomid also thinned out my cervical lining and I had to go on progestone suppostitories in order to thicken my lining and we conceived that month. Also it took 6 months of trying the Clomid before we found out what it was doing to my lining. Other than that it was doing it's job of producing the follicles and helping me ovulate. Good luck if you choose the clomid route.

I am currently on clomid 50 mg day 4 of round 1 ttc#2. I just wanted to tell you that I feel great other than getting dizzy the first time I took it and a few hot flashes. No crazy emotional moments or anything...yet! I hope this works for us and if you try it I hope it works for you too!

I did three cycles of Clomid, with Metformin. I do not ovulate on my own due to PCOS, so for me that was the way to go. I concieved twins, although I lost one to vanishing twins, on the third cycle...

First time was easy!

My husband and I tried 6mo. before starting clomid. I concieved the first month on 100mg. I have irregular periods and no ovulation cycle. My son is now 2 and we have been trying for #2 for 9mo. 5 of those months have been on clomid. First starting with 50mg., two mo. of 100mg., and 2mo. of 150mg. I have had no luck. I must have been very lucky with the first. I am doing ovulation strips with no positive results and also charting my basal temp. I am changing to a different Doctor in two weeks as soon as I find out if this month worked or not. I have never had any side effects with clomid except the norm. hot flashes, night sweats, moodiness. I'd say give it a try. I have been having a hard time with this 2nd try. I'm reaching a point of failure and depression. I hope something gives soon and good luck to all of you out ther with similar problems. I can truthfully say I understand!! God Bless!!

I was on clomid for a couple of months, had TERRIBLE hot flashes, and then my dr realized it wasn't working for us, so we moved on to Gonal F injections. My periods were irregular like yours--longer than a 28 day cycle. I know lots of people who have had success with clomid, and I would reccommend it.

It worked again!

I just replied to this thread as unsuccessful the second time around. Turns out it did work. My doctor found they were testing to early in my cycle and that my cycles extended since my last child. Was ready to start my 6th month of clomid and found out I was already pregnant. That's two + for clomid in my book. I am now 8 weeks.
