Hi everyone. I am new to the boards and have a question while I am browsing through.
I had a Dr's appointment this past Monday. This Tuesday, hubby and I have to race to the hospital for blood work and to drop off the semen analysis. My GYN stated that after the results of the bloodwork come back he will more then likely prescribe Clomid to me.
Has anyone taken this and if so been successful? Hubby and I have been trying for 3 years to get pregnant without any luck. I suffer from very irregular periods and have most of my life. I also had a laproscopy and everything on the inside was fine.
My DH and I had a hard time concieving both of our girls. Tessa was in all honestly just a miracle. I ovulate maybe once or twice a year on my own, and we got it that time after 4 years of trying. Three years later we tried Clomid finally to have another baby. It worked in combination with Metformin (I have PCOS which means that I have very irregular periods as well.) and we concieved twins. Unfortunatly our twins suffered the vanishing twin thing, so we gave birth to a single baby girl. So yes, it worked for me after two cycles.
Good Luck to you and your DH.

I was on 6 cycles of Clomid and it didn't work for me. I got pregnant about 3 months after I quit taking clomid though. I know a lot of people who took clomid and had success.
I took clomid for 3 months without success, but ended up getting pregnant 6 months after my surgery (laparoscopy).
Good luck!!! I've heard good success stories with Clomid.

I have taken Clomid for all 4 of my pregnancies. Each time, it took only 3 or 4 months before I was preggo. Unfortunately, I miscarried the last three - no one knows why. I'll be starting up again in a month or so, though.
