Help! My son needs a haircut and he is only 9 months!!!

What am I supposed to do? I mean, he isn't going to sit still for a haircut but it is getting longer and longer. I have tried to do some touch ups here and there while he is sleeping but that doesn't work well. I know I might have to tough it but I just never thought I would have to worry about his hair getting too long already. Now I may be over reacting.. it doesn't look like a girls or anything!! But look at the my pic under my name... that is only 3-4 days old!!!

Logan had his first haircut around that time too Diana, i had a friend that was a hairdresser, i can't remember how she did it.. he only really had a mowhawk though... not the rest of his hair still

All I can say iss, have fun! Issac never sits still when I cut his hair, so in a couple weeks Jerm's gonna take him to his barber...hopefully he'll do well for them!

When Sarah was real young she had a mohawk and that was about it. And it was quite long too. Still is, but the sides have caught up somewhat. She needs all she can get.
I've never had to cut my babies' hair that young. Can't you just comb it to the side?

Both of my boys had haircuts that early and they loved it! Just sit in the chair with Devin in your lap, and chances are he'll do fine. I think with one of them, they had to face me.

With both, suckers came in hand. I gave them one to work on while they are getting their hair cut, then extras in case hair got stuck to those.

Try to find somebody that has kids themselves to do the cut -- I've found they tend to be much more patient and even play little games to get the job done.

Nicholas is only 7 months and gettign close to being due for one...Liz was 9 months and needed her bangs done. Go to a hair place that specializes in kids....they will be really good with him, they are used to it....and most places will do up a nice thing for him for his first hair cut....

You just have to hold him on your lap and hold his head still for them...he may not like it at first but it gets better as they get older

Thanks for all the tips guys. I am definately going to check into that this week. Makes me a little less nervous knowing that other babies his age have been thru a haircut.

It isn't something I can just comb to the side b/c the front, sides, and back are all too long... it would help with the front but it is still growing over his ears.
