Remember when you were a kid and your parents would say something ot you. Then you swore that if you ever had kids you'd never say that to them.

What do you say to your kids that you swore you wouldn't?

My mom used to say "Don't look at me in that tone of voice!" Always confused me as a kid!

I am with Jen on these and I am always saying I am the parent and you are the kid and then I think of the movie Matalida and how that makes her feel, how it made me feel.

Jan!

When I said "Because I said so, that's why!" to Kimmy for the first time I had to go sit down! I said I would NEVER tell my child that, b/c it's not a REAL reason. Now I know it's just cuz you're at the end of your rope and you don't know what else to say!

Which now makes me feel bad because my bestfriend just called me today to tell me her little boy broke his arm while playing and never shed a tear or bled.
