I've been holding my nursery class at the church in one of the rooms used by the preschool and their is a boy named Didge in that class. I know because I read all the names on the cubbies.

It sounds to me like it's short for Govenor (you know like they talk in britain?) but there they use Gov I think.

not too bad, but I wouldn't use it.

Oh my..... Are we sure that the anesthesia had worn off when his poor mother named him???

Sounds like something you would find in a scifi book.

And I've worked with a guy from England years ago and he called every male Gov. but it was pronounced Guv

Those poor children.

Speaking of names....I saw a name at work a couple of weeks ago and had to ask one of my coworkers if it was this person's real name and he said it was. This one guy's name (at another site) is Beach Day. Wonder if he had hippy parents?!?
