Spitting up

Does/did your baby spit up?

I'm not use to this.
Kyler never spit up. I didn't think that breast feed babies did so.
However, the dr and everything I've read said that this is normal - breast feed OR bottle feed.
Well, Delaney spits up.

She just did so now. I feel like it was alot.
She's had a slight cold the last couple of days so I'm wondering if she had mucus in her belly?? The part that bothers me is she nursed 2 hours ago. Should she still be spitting up 2 hours later??
Now, she wants to nurse again.
So... do I nurse her even though she just spit up?? Should I wait and let her stomach settle??
Ugh. I hate being unsure like this.

(She is acting fine. Not crying or anything. )

Shari, Sarah spit up until she was about a year old. When she was breastfeeding she did even more, then when she went to bottle. It would be sometimes right after eating, or like you say, hours later.
Only thing I can say, is that it never affected her weight gain.
As long as the baby is putting on the weight, it should be ok.

Shari Liz was a puker baby....she spat up constantly!!! Nothing was ever wrong with her....she just spat up.....

Nicholas does from time to time...oh and with Liz we always thought it was tons....but the dr's reassured us that it was ok, adn the reason why it seems liek so much is becuase its mixed with the acids in teh stomach which break it down.

Ok. Thanks for the reassurance ladies.
I needed that.

Kate was a puker too from acid reflux (which she still has unfortunately). The dr gave her some medication and it helped tremendously. Don't leave her laying flat on her back. That makes the acid spill out of their belly easier. She may sleep better at an angle too. Kate was about a year old before she could sleep flat on her back. When Delany gets older and you feel more comfortable with it, belly sleeping is more comfortable for them too.

Justin sure seemed to spit up a lot. Thank god it is better now. It drove me nuts.

Issac was a puker baby too, and he weighed like 20 lbs when he was 1! So, as long as her weight gain is good and it's not projectile vomiting I wouldn't worry!

Rhyne only spit up when she was on Nestle good start formula.

But I would go ahead and feed her if she seems hungry, even if she just spit up.
