So, if you read the couple posts I plan to post today, you will find I am about fed up with my family. This one has to do with my aunt and her boyfriend.
Eric usually does some side-job yardwork on Saturdays (this is after working 50 hours at his regular job and following about 5 hours at his regular job Saturday morning). He can usually made a quick $100-$200 in a matter of hours. It started as him and his friend Ryan every weekend. There were a couple weekends here and there Ryan couldn't make it, so Eric would ask my aunt's boyfriend, Bobby, along. Well, Bobby and Eric had planned to go look for work this Saturday because Bobby said he needed the money. They are okay with $$, so we know this means to go out with or something silly like that.
So, Thursday evening Eric gets a call from Ryan. His step-father-in-law has kicked them out again. He found an apartment, but needs another $250 by this Tuesday. He has a job lined up for $400 that he is willing to work at himself all morning, then needs Eric to just meet him in the afternoon to finish and haul with his truck. He is still willing to split 50/50. So, Eric will make $200 for hauling a couple truck loads in a matter of only a couple hours. What do you think he did?!
I talk to my aunt Saturday afternoon, she asks where Eric is, I tell her, she gets a big attitude. She was like "well, isn't that funny because Bobby is sitting her waiting on him" then didn't have more than two words to say to me, so we hang up.
We get a really mean message from Bobby Saturday evening saying "Just bring my chainsaw back then...I really needed that money, but I see how you are". WTF??!! It got me so mad.
Eric said this is it. He is going to sacrifice making any extra money for us doing this side work because if he takes one guy the other gets mad either way. You just cannot win with these people. The worse part for me is I could hear my aunt in the background of Bobby's message and she usually isn't like that. It upsets me to know anyone is mad at us, but in this case I do not think they have a right and it really aggrevates me. I think just with everything else that came up this weekend (post to follow) it got to me alot worse. I am just so done with helping anyone out and refuse to do it anymore!!
