Slim Size Pants?

Does anyone know where I can find slim size pants? Alexander needs 3T for the length but the waist is so huge! 2Ts fit good in the waist but are too short. He has no pants he can wear now that it's getting cooler, except sweat pants, and needs some nicer ones for church and stuff. Help!

I wish I knew...Rach is the exact same way! I broke down last year and bought her some belts, so if she wears pants that are too big I just loop a belt in for her!

I've been using safety pins to draw up the waist but am going to look for a belt the next time I go shopping. My worry is that I won't be able to find one small enough for him.

Babies R Us, Kids R Us, and JCPenney's used to carry them.

Drew was the same way. We could only find belts in his size at children's specialty stores. Adn we couldn't find slim pants until he got into a size 6. If you have a JCPenney near you, you might try their Arizona brand pants. They seem to run a bit smaller in the waist that alot of others. They are the closest we have come to slim without actually being a slim.

Grace needs a 5 in length and a 12-18 months in waist so I feel your pain. We use Gap adjustable waist jeans, Levi's also makes a slim for toddlers. Buster Brown is a great brand of clothes for skinny kids and Buffalo makes slim cut jeans (not sure if these are just for girls). On lots of her clothes I just end up putting darts in the waist.

I have never seen slim sized toddler pants but Zach has a pair of Levi's that have an adjustable waist. They are my favorite pants on him because they fit so well without needing elastic in the back.

I have some belts for Hailey--got them at Target. She is the same way and all of her pants are too big. I have to get a 5 for the length but they are HUGE in the waist.

I found that Osk Kosh has a line called Room to Grow? Maybe not sure i can look at the label when I get home. Anyway they have a elastic band inside the waist to make it smaller. We are in the same boat. Jimmy is 2 1/2 needs the 3 length but not in the waist. I like the one pair i purchased and I wish I had purchased another pair.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I will check at all places mentioned and see what I can find.

Alexander did get a pair of pants from Carters for his birthday that have the adjustable elastic on the inside and we can get them to fit his waist but the legs are still way too big and it looks odd. So, unless other pants like that are made different, I don't think we'll get anymore of those.

Italy has the same problem. I finally went out and got her a belt. I couldn't find one small enough so i just made new holes.

Childrens Place? Not too sure, my kids are hefty in the waste

The belts I got Rach were a little big, so I just took a knife and made more holes in it, and they work fine now!

I think Osh Kosh has adjustable waistbands.

You could even check Walmart for a belt. We got Gavin one there and it was small enough for him although it was in the big boy section.

I had/have the exact same problem with Maddie...only she is short and stubby She needs a 4T waist and 3T length. I suggest overalls then the problem is solved! Also knit pants with elastic waists seem to do better for her. Old Navy jeans also seem to run small.

I know that Walmart also carries a 4 slim in the big boy section but that does not help you any...sorry.

Try Children's Place. I think they have the pants with the sliders on them. Good clothes, too!

Thanks everyone. Looks like I'll be shopping this weekend for winter clothes for both kids since they neither have any that will fit.

Michael has always been a slim size to. Gap, Sears, and Bugle boy(Walmart) makes great adjustable waist jeans. I am not sure if they do for smaller sizes but I think for size 4 and up they do.

I wish I knew!!! I bought some Duckhead jeans and they seemed to fit smaller. Luckily her hips hold the pants up... lol!! She is in 5s right now and 4s are WAY TOO SHORT!!!
