What is up with these Gerber nipples?

I had bought Justin some Gerber bottles a couple of months ago and I don't know if he is just a hoover, but the nipples cave in while he is drinking it. It totally gets sucked together and I have to untwist and pull the nipple off the top of the bottle to re-inflate it. What is up with that? Does anyone else have this problem? I refuse to buy new ones because he is supposed to be off the bottle soon anyway, but it is annoying and he isn't able to get anything to drink.

When that happend to DS my DH just made the nipple holes a lil bigger

It's air-locking. Used to have the same prob with Jared - they have such strong suction, it sucks all the air out!

Little Hoover !

Oh now that is a good idea. I will try the bigger hole theory! Thanks.

If it were me, since he's nearly 1 anyways, I'd go ahead and get him used to a cup!

Yep! I had the same problem. We did the same thing. Just slit the nipple a little bit more.

Becca, he drinks juice great from the cup, but getting him to drink his milk from one is a challenge. The only time it is in a bottle is if we go out or before nap and bedtimes.

Ah ok, I'd just try to make the opening a little bigger then!
