Clean up time

How do you get your toddler to clean up???

I can't get Jonathan to help clean up for love nor money! If I tell him it's time to clean up his toys, he will get them all and line them all up, but he won't put them away. I'm glad he's got the "order" thing down, but I want this stuff in the toy box, not all along the living room wall. If I put them away, he gets frustrated (like I took them away and just drags them back out.

Good question! Whenever I ask Jen to clean up she says "no, mommy do it". Real nice huh?! The only time I can get her to clean up her room is by offering a reward and even then, she just throws everything in one corner and says she is done!

We sing the clean up song from Barney and she picks up her toys. Usually!

Lyssa looks at me and tells me she's too busy now to do it! Or will claim that she's playing with ALL of them! The only way I can get her to pick them up is if I help her. She wants a kitten adn I told her she needs to pick up all her things and KEPP them picked up when not playing with them in order to get one. (we've already discussed getting one and it ain't happin til like this time next year - at the EARLIEST
