I home school so as I was putting together my lesson plans for the month of November I came across some fun Thanksgiving projects for the kids. Hope you enjoy them.
Turkey Hunt:
Have children draw or cut out 10 -15 pictures of turkeys. Hide them around the house. Good luck hunting. You can also add prices for additional fun.
Do it yourself tablecloth:
Cover table with large craft paper. Supply markers and crayons for kids to decorate. Thanksgiving cookie cutters or stencils are added fun.
Handprint Turkeys:
Trace the outline of each childs hand on white paper. Have children make the thumb into the turkeys head, the fingers into feathers; add feet at the bottom of the palm. Kids can color the turkey with crayons and colored markers.
Indian drums:
Paint oatmeal containers with dark poster paint. Kids can cut out Thanksgiving themed pictures from magazines and paste them on to the drum.
