Looking back on this year, I have a lot to be Thankful for. It’s been a rough year, but I’ve come out to be a strong woman in the end. I’d like to share when I’m thankful for. The year started out pretty badly, but now that it’s coming to a close, it’s getting better.
First of all, I’m thankful for the 22 years I got to spend with my Mom. She had her flaws, but there was nothing she loved more than her family. Over the past few years, Mom taught me so much about being a woman, and a mother, and a wife. She left us so unexpectedly, but her last day here was spent doing what she loved: playing and reading with Austin, I’m so thankful for that.
Secondly, I’m so thankful that someone sent Andy to me. Most all of you know who Andy is. He’s my big brother. He’s such a great guy, and we’re building such a great relationship too. Someone somewhere KNEW that I needed someone this year, and I got him. It’s almost like I have known him for ever! I wish you all could meet him!
Next is my family. I’ve dragged Matt up and down and side to side this year. He’s been there not old through all of those pregnancy related hormones, but with everything else that happened. He’s stood beside me through all of my tears, through all of the anger, through the sadness and happiness. I thank my Husband for being so strong.
My Aunt Karen is next on the list. Sissy (as we’ve all called her) has been my rock this year. She was there for me so much when Mom passed, she was there with me when Dylan was born, and she’s been there for me for everything in between. I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have her to talk to. Sissy is such an understanding person.
My kids. My Life. Austin and Dylan. I don’t know what I’d do without them. They’re 2 of the most beautiful kids in the world, and 2 of the sweetest too! Sure Austin drives me batty, but what 4 year old doesn’t drive his mom to the brink? Dylan is such a happy baby. At 7 months he’s already got such a personality on him!
Last, but certainly not least. My BabyU family. All of the advice, the tips, the hugs, and the support I’ve gotten from them is incredible. I love you all so much!
I have been a blessed person this year, and hope that you all are just as blessed as I.
Have a safe and happy thanksgiving!
