Questions about Netflix

Didn't Netflix used to ship their movies Priority Mail at one time? I was sure I remembered seeing that but when I went to check on why my movies were suddenly taking 3 days to ship either way instead of the 1 that they used to, I saw that they are shipping First Class now? Did I miss something or has it always been this way?
Anyone else notice a big slow down? I've ocasionally had shipping take up to 6 days in the past month. Also, they aren't always shipping a movie on the same day they receive mine back even when one is marked as available now.
So I'm hoping it is just the holidays and that things will speed back up. If it doesn't by the end of Jan though I'm switching to Blockbuster. I've been a devoted member of Netflix for a year now but this is getting ridiculous.

i've always gotten them the same way.

i e-mailed them a month or so ago about it taking so long, and questioned it because the movies i get come from san antonio or something "San" or another.. and they have Netflix offices and distribution centers in Philly, AND Detroit- which are both HUNDREDS of miles closer to me than San Whatever..

THeir response to me was that your request for a movie goes intoa database and that whatever distribution center has the movie your request is where the movie comes from.

FUnny.. all of ours come from the same place.

It has been taking a full 6 day turn around to send and get movies back. I'm getting a little tired of it.. It needs to get quicker!!

I've sent them a few emails too and they always have some generic answer for me. I wanted to know why a movie wasn't shipped the same day as a movie was received. It really made me angry because my movie was received on Friday and if they had shipped the same day I could have had another movie by Saturday (back then). But since they didn't, I had to wait for the to ship on Monday and then wouldn't have another one till Tuesday. It was a waste of my money.
They gave me some bullsh*t answer about how their stock is changing all the time and the queue is not always an accurate representation of what is available.
There had been FIVE movies available now when I wrote that email. Very frustrating.

I always get them in one day and they usually ship the same day they receive the movie. Sorry you're having such problems.

Have a friend that does Netflix and had no problems.
We do Blockbuster...it's cheaper now $14.99 and the turn around is pretty quick though I noticed a slow down at Christmas which it seems they are still recovering from.
