I don't know what to say, other than sometimes it can take longer to conceive than you first think. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help. Good luck TTCing.

Kelli, with my first I was trying so hard and I just needed to relax. I went for my yearly and I told the doctor I had been trying and he gave my DH an appointment to get a sperm count and I wasn't feeling well and sure enough I was.

Just make sure you are enjoying yourself and not putting too much pressure on it.

Have you been to a doctor? Have you been on birth control? If you have it may take you longer to get pregnant. The birth control can take awhile to get out of your system. 6 months isn't very long although it seems like forever. Most doctors won't do much until you have been trying for at least a year. It took my dh and I 14 months to get pregnant. However, I have ovarian cysts and endometriosis. I had to have a surgery before I could even get pregnant. I hope I didn't scare you or anything. If you are concerned go see a doctor.

that is key, unless there are other problems, but relaxing is major!

we had given up trying after almost five years, started looking into adoption, and it happened for us... i was 10 weeks before i figured it out though :d

I dont have regular periods, so could it be that i just dont ovulate?? i probably need to go see a doctor but i have been to see my obgyn and she said everything appeared normal when i had a d&c done? any clues? anyone with the same problem?? i mean its nothing for me to go 2 or 3 months with out a period! ! could that be the problem?

I have the problem where I don't ovulate too. That could be the problem, but if everything checked out with your OBGYN and they didn't seem to be concerned with the fact that you have problems ovulating then maybe you just need to keep trying.

This is exactly what Im going through!

Hey,
I conceived my first child unexpectedly so when it came time for #2 I thought "no problem". My ob said " go for it!" So we tried and tried and tried. For 12 months we tried our hardest. Well finally I went back to the ob and they hurried and got my husband a sperm count. He was fine and everything came back fine on me.So she put me on progesterone so i would have a period and "clean all of the old stuff out" as she put it. She also prescribed me Clomid to take day 5-10 of my cycle. I'm currently on day6 of the progesterone so I haven't even had a period yet. I wish I was further along in the process so I could tell you how beautifully this all turned out. But I'll keep you posted. Oh, and when I went back in my ob said"why did you wait so long to come in?" Because "I thought you had to try for a year to receive treatment" She just rolled her eyes. Time is precious. Find a dr. that you trust to help you. I'm 24 but I wanna be done having kids by the time I'm 30! So we needed to get on it. Oh the progesterone is 10 mg for 10 days. And the diagnosis she gave me was missed ovulation. When you have no clue when you ovulate, you have no clue when to try and concive. These medicines will help me time my cycle so my hubby and I know when to baby dance! Good Luck! I hope this extremely long rambling gave at least some useful info!

If you don't have periods for months at a time that could be the problem. Does your ob know this? I would get a second opinion cause it sounds to me like you should be on Progesterone to help regulate you.
