What would an appropriate gift be?

A friend of ours at church has a baby due next month (Feb 26). This is her third child. Her kids are 4 and 10. This was a little bit of a surprise. She gave away all of her baby stuff, so she doesn't have much. The church is going to give her a shower. She doesn't know what she's having, so she asked them to wait until after the baby is born, but because of scheduling conflicts, they want to have it next month, instead of March, like she had requested. I had planned to get her clothes after the baby is born (and probably still will, since that is what she needs the most), but I want to get her something for the shower, as well. Any suggestions?

I would probably get diapers or one-sies...things she'll probably need right away after the baby is born.

A pack of diapers and wipes. Everyone can use those.

Either that or a gift card to toys-r-us or Walmart

diapers or a blanket maybe?

Diapers and wipes or babywash, baby powder, diaper rash cream, etc. Any of those things she will need.

Do you think a little bath basket would be good? Baby washclothes, baby bath stuff, maybe a tub toy, wipes, etc.... and then get her an outfit after the baby is born?

That sounds like a good plan, Dina!

What about first aid stuff like nail clippers, tylonel, etc.

Or film and a photo album.

Or a baby calender or baby book.
