Honestly, probably consult a thousand parenting books, talk to you guys, my shrink and my dh. I know where she could get it. We keep a small selection of cooking wines on hand all the time.

My paretns let us drink if we wanted to although they did not provide it. (i didn't have my first drink til I was 21 and I am still not a big drinker) but he said (my dada) if we were going to drink- then call for a ride or spend the night - do not drive.

My brothers walked home on more than one occassion and have called for rides and spent the night. Unfortunelty I now have one brother who I know drives home from bars drunk.

For me I would want to know why they are drinking the way they are drinking. Yes I would find any help I could for my daughter or son.
Karen my Dad was like yours. My parents did drink a lot, but I never picked up that bad habit. I have a drink now and then and that is it. One drink.
I have to admit I be in shock to hear about my child/children drinking. It would hurt because my child/children would be hurting themself.

My parents don't drink hardley at all. Really only special occassions and now my mom doesn't drinka t all due to her meds. I guess I don't drink mainly casue I don't like the taste

I'm not suer what I would do if my kids were drinking. I guess for me it would depend on the extent that they were drinking. Is it adrink here and there at a party or is it to the point they are getting wasted?
