Sebastian Carson

I know Billy and I have several months before we have to have names picked out, but we've been debating boy names already. I really have a strong feeling we're having another boy and we decided before even getting pregnant that Carson would be the middle name, after my grandpa. Karson if we have a girl. So Billy threw out Sebastian and I really like it. How do you think it sounds?

Thanks for your honesty, Lisa!

I'm guessing no one else likes it either since they're looking but not responding.

And I would use Carson/Karson for a first name but Billy doesn't like the name. He only agreed to it as a middle name because it means so much to me.

The first thing I thought of when I read the name Sebastian was the thing in The Little Mermaid. If I associate a name with something like that, it tends to turn me off of the name.

However, it's your baby, and if you love the name, that's all that matters.

Ok, this just enforces my feeling of being older than dirt ! My first association was Sebastian Cabot - Mr French from "Family Affair"

and I'm guessing a whole bunch of folks don't remember that show !

I like Sebastian, makes me think of Sebastian Bach(skid row....80's band....boy you can really pick up on peoples ages by how they associate names....LOL). Not too keen on Carson, but that is just my opinion, doesn't flow for me.

Lisa, I am with you. Sebastian Cabot was the first person I thought of, too! Maybe we can pick out matching canes?

I'm not crazy about the name Sebastian. No particular reason, just not ringing any bells for me.

Liz, I do that when we're deciding on names, say it over and over to see if it "feels" right coming out of my mouth, and I actually told Billy this morning that while I like the name Sebastian, I don't see myself calling my son that. It just doesn't feel right. So I don't think we'll be using it, but you never know.

But I had people on BBU tell me they didn't like Kelsey and it didn't phase me one bit because I did like it and obviously Den did since he picked it...lol

I'm with the majority on this one...I like Carson as a middle name but don't really care for Sebastian.

I am sitting here trying to think of first names that go with Carson.

Tyler Carson
Jeffery Carson
Michael Carson

?? (Johnny Carson... I'm sorry...I couldn't resist!!!)

I really do like Carson.

We are the type that will pick what we like regardless of what others think. I mean, it's our child so we have that right!

And you are one funny gal, Cheryl!

I really wish I could convince Billy to use Carson as a first name but at least he's okay with it as a middle name.

not too fond of Sebastian.. it sounds nice and reads nice.. but not a name i would use.. never met someone with that name either.. that usually has some influence on a name for me.. i like Carson though

Jay and I actually considered using the name Sebastian as he really likes it, but we have settled on different boys names in case the babies are both boys. No girls names yet.

I think you should name it whatever you want.

I like Sebastian. I think it's very classy. But I like it better for a middle name. I don't know anyone with that name, though. Family Affair.... Now there's a blast from the past. I loved that show. It was great!

I absolutely LOVE Karson/Carson. I think it's great! And I think it's really neat that you would like to keep that name in the family.
