DH and I have always said that if/when we had a girl, we would name her Catherine. His great grandmother's name is Catherine and mine was Margaret Katherine. It's a good think Jonathan wa a boy, though, because we couldn't agree on a middle name. And we didn't know whether to go with Kate, Katie, Katy, or Katy.

Lately, though, I think I like Emma or Emily better. I'm not sure why. For some reason it just seems to jump out at me.

Which do you like better?

(and, NO, I'm not expecting that we know of-LOL!)

I love Emma K/Catherine (I personally like K names better for girls), so how 'bout that?

I like all three names. I think the easiest solution is to have twin girls. Seriously, how about using Catherine Emma or Emma Catherine?

Emily Catherine, Emma as a nickname?

we are having a little girl and are naming her Sydney Kathryn. Kathryn is a family name for us too (including the spelling) I do like the names Emma and Emily though, which is why I didn't vote in the poll. I couldn't decide.

Dina, personally I love the name Emily Kate! Did I mention that is my daughter's name?? lol
I also like the C/Katherine Emma suggestion. That's very pretty.
Emily C/Katherine is also pretty.

I like Emily the best. I'm not too keen on emma, as that is the ex's neices' name.

My husband is a nutcase! We have yet to find out the sex of our baby(I'm due in August) and he's talking about naming our baby if it's a boy these weird names. One of them being Ishtar...he crazy if he thinks I'm going to call my own child by the name of Ishtar!

I like them all.

I like them all, but I voted Catherine. I know lots of Catherines, though all but one shorten it to Cat.
