What kind of booster can I take on an airplane?

I was going to get Gavin and Maddie those booster seats with no backs for the plane trip to Korea but I double checked and they are not approved for use on an airplane.

Anyone have any suggestions?

They won't need boosters, will they? I thought you only needed to take infant car seats with you.

When we flew with lys we just let her sit normal in the seats. I checked her carseat.

Really? I was thinking they had to be in seats. SO much easier if I do not have to drag 3 seats along!

They don't have to be in seats. But I think before a certain age, Abby might have to sit in your lap. With Justin, I just found it easier to bring his car seat so I didn't have to do that.

Oh yeah Abby will for sure have her own seat. It is like a 20 hour plane ride and I would be If I had to hold her the whole time.

Actually I will be doing all that anyways.. 20 hours on a plane is NOT gonna be fun!

Hmmm... Jonathan was 2 1/2, and we just sat him in the seat and buckled him in. Unless there are special regulations for international flights, I don't think you have to have them in seats. Abby might be a different case, but I think the other two will be fine.

Did the airline have any recommendations?

IKWYM!!! The last time we flew, they asked if Jonathan was a "lap-child". He was almost 3 and half as tall as I am. Ummm---sure! And that was only 2 hours. I can't imagine 20 hours with him in my lap.

They are considered lap babies up until 2 when you have to pay for a seat. We just took the car seat but they don't have to be in one.

I ended up checking Gavin and Maddie's booster seats and carried Abby's with me on the plane. It was a major PITA to lug it around and I had bruises from it banging me and I nailed Maddie in the head twice with it. But I was glad to have a spot where I could strap Abby in and she could not get out.

Oh and unless your seat says it is safe to use on an airplane you cannot bring it on the actual plane.

Day late and a dollar short, here, Meagan but next time, can you check the airline and see if they have loaner seats? That would save you TONS of hassle.
