Our First Store's 10th Anniversary need some ideas

The very fist store we owned will be celebtaring 10 years this May. Kev has put me in charge of doing the celebration.

So far all that we can agree on is to do it one weekend in May.

I know we wont do any deep discounts (like free anything or 10 cent anything)

So what I need form you folks is some ideas as to what we could do.

What would YOU as a consumer like to see if you saw a DQ celebrating 10 years? Remember we are in a small town of like 4000 people and we are VERY well know in town.

I am lost as to what to do and I have GOT to get planning otherwise before I know it May will be here!

don't they do like 99 cent promos? Like 99 cent single burgers or small ice cream cones? I am so bad at stuff like this.

Hmmm....Free balloons. Maybe have someone dressed up as something to hand them out to the kids.

Is there anyway you know what number customer someone is? You could always give a free coupon or something for every so many customers and make it a bigger number so you aren't giving out as much

we already do punch cards. I doubt kev would go for 99 cent anything.

i'll put a not up and see if anyone wants top be Curly and do baloons.

Party at the DQ~~~

Are you going to advertise?

I would decorate the store with streamers and such and balloons...

What is the biggest ice cream cake you have every made? Or you could do it in a shape of a ten.

Need a photgrapher?

the sheet it the biggest we have so we'd definitly need to make a couple - not a big deal.

Definitly gonna advertise and decorate. Just tring to figure out what to do to get people into the store. Not sure if just a party is gonna do it.

I dont know what that would be? Hmm Id have to ask Kev. Ive only been in DQ for ....well atll be 11 years come April.

Maybe hourly door prizes?
Like a blizzard a month for a year?
Or DQ Merchandise?

Ok so I am looking at May 7 & 8 (mother's day weekend)

the 14th is Prom and you get any later and your already swamped. Besides we bought the store in 98 on May 8th - So what a better weekend.

Well, the DQ here does free kids cones with the purchase of a meal for adults every once in a while. Maybe you could do something like that?

Maybe save 10% if you spend more than $10? Could be a coupon you hand out? Most coupons never get used anyway, plus you could make good for the anniversary week only.

How about offereing some type of special for the first 10 minutes of every hour?

Trying to think of things relating to the 10th anniversary.

Do you have a local radio station that could attend and broadcast from your DQ? That seems to draw people almost anywhere!
