South Beach diet

Really, for a low carb diet, this one is not too bad. I did really well on it the couple of months I stuck to it (but as soon as I stopped, the pounds came RIGHT back with a couple of friends). I get burned out too easily.

I agree that for low carb, it's really pretty good. They actually stress more GOOD carbs (whole grains) as opposed to NO carbs.

And as for the protein .. it was low fat. So you couldn't just eat a side of beef ... but a small piece of lean sirloin was acceptable.

It's actually not too far off from the "body builder's" diet that I follow now, except I do require more carbs because of all the exercise I do.

If anyone is interested in the book and recipe book, I'll sell them at a steal to you!

Incidentally .. I also joined this website last year and it SUCKED! You could not choose your foods for your meals, and once they added that feature, it was not very user friendly. Again, it may have improved by now, but I was NOT impressed with it and quickly cancelled.

I never used the website, didn't like the setup of it. I actually love this, because it is quite simple to modify recipes. Plus, you relearn how to eat, so it's not actually a diet, but a new way of living!

I got burned out too quickly, but my DH loved it. I much prefer WW.
