What would be a good starting place for Tae Bo? I would like to try it out but know that some of them, I would not be able to jump right into.

I'd personally start with something like this

I like the fact that one tape teaches you the moves, another starts you slow, then you can advance. I'm not sure if they sell it in DVD form or not.

That's the set I started with (the first link) I also have a cardio one and a abs and butt that I have yet to try... The beginner is nice and slow so you can figure out the moves.... I introduced Billy with the advanced.

I started out with Cardio, but I had been working out to Richard Simmons for six months prior. For a person with a normal amount of balance and coordination, the moves are not hard. For me, they are hard, by my balance especially is slowly improving which was one of my goals with tae bo.
