What did you buy for your baby that you now wish you hadn't?

I got a sling for a gift and Livia has hated it since day 1. I've tried and tried.. but she can't stand it!

My mom got me a sling for Kate - and Its not that she hates it - but the way she is in there Im more afraid of suffocation! I'll stick to my front/back carriers.

But as far as $$ I spent that was a waste - I cant say that anything I bought was a waste.

The only thing I can think of right now is pacifiers for Elizabeth. She never would use one, hard as I tried to get her to.

The diaper Genie....quit using that one after I had Gavin.

My double stroller...it was just too big and bulky to use all the time. And that one was not cheap.

I don't even know what a diaper Genie is

My Mum bought me a change table when I had the twins and I don't think I used it more than twice.

If I had only had one baby I think it would have been a god send, but with two I just never used it, I wasn't going to stay in their room and keep one baby awake or wake a sleeping baby while I changed the one who needed changing tho.

Yep, I agree with Jenn. I hated my diaper genie. It was a pain, it still stunk and pulling out a long sausage of diapers was just gross! Also we got as a gift a wipe warmer and all it seemed to do was make the wipes yellow.

I never had one because from my friends who did, I wasn't very impressed with them. But I had a SIL who loved hers. She's the only one I know that ever liked them.

Any type of Diaper pail. We just took the grabage out every night or put the dirty diaper in a grocery bag and tie the bag if the diaper was really bad.

I was given a diaper warmer and it was stupid. Sure it kept the warm but they turned yellow and dried out too quickly in my opinion.

Oh my inlaws bought Christian a cutsey toddler bed. he hated it. Wasn't there fault but I could think of something else to spend 200.00 on.

Sling for me too Amy! I had to have one and Marco told me that I was wasting my money, but I was desperate for anything to make Livia stop crying (shoulda got something for me instead ).

I sold the darn thing on eBay back in the fall for something like $20. Live and learn right?

I was going ot say my carrier tha ti got...it was a sling, front facing /rear facing....and he outgrew it a few months ago. It was uncomfortable as could be and hard to get him in and out of it.

Now i have a sling that I have borrowed from Doula to see how much I would use it and I love it. I wish I would have spent the money on one of these instead!!

The wipe warmer. It didn't really warm the wipes that much. And it dried them out really fast.

Also, my MIL got me some kind of storage thing that was supposed to store forumla or dry cereal. It had three compartments that screwed together. But the thing wasn't threaded right, so when you tried to screw the pieces together, you ended up dumping out your stuff and wasting it. I chunked it!

Ya know, you go to baby shops and you see all kinds of neat things, but I'm always leery of spending money on things that might not work.

I will say that I have a Diaper Dekor Plus diaper pail and I LOVE IT. However, things like Liv's "raisin diaper" or her stinky ones in general, go in a blue bag and into the garage. EW!

Her Jumperoo, its this thing that is supposed to entertain the kids by letting them jump, without a doorway, it sux, what a waste of $59.99 Alayna Hated it.

Definitely the Diaper Genie and pacifiers. The baby bath that we bought was hardly used as well. It was too bulky and so we ended up w/ one of those sponge things you lay in the bath...they worked much better and less bulk.

I LOVED my Diaper Genie! I had one of the wide mouth ones and it worked great!

My biggest waste of money had to be a bouncer for Ally. She screamed every time we put her in it. Just hated the darn thing.

And then the wipe warmer. Someone gave it to me and I never even used it after I heard what everyone had to say about them.

oh, and the diaper thing that hangs on the crib? Never had a diaper in it. But it was good for keeping all the little blankets in

I'm only worried that some of the clothes I bought Isaiah will go to waste. He might be too big and not fit them...I hope not!
