What's a good gift for a YOUNG couple?

What's a good wedding gift for a very young couple (18 & 20)? They are just getting married for the first time and neither of them have ever lived away from home.

Money or a gift certificate

Honestly! I had so much stuff that was the same. Den and I went shopping together and picked out the stuff we wanted with money and gift certificates we got.

Don't get me wrong. I appreciated every single thing I got.

Plus a gift certificate for a local restuarant is nice.

Lisa! My brother got 7 containers of Tupperware/Rubbermaid stuff.

I just had an idea--My mom's friend always puts together a big cleaning basket because that stuff is expensive when you have to get it all for the first time.

My mom and dad also gave me $300.00 for my first groceries and spent another 200.00 on stuff like hampers, garbage cans, brooms and stuff like that.

Oh I like the cleaning basket idea!

If they have never lived away from home how about just asking what they want/need?

A GC would be great as well.

Those are good ideas. My problem is that they will be moving away to go to college in Virginia a month after they get married. So, I don't want to get them anything bulky that they'll have to pack. Do you think a GC to some place like Wal-MArt and maybe one to some place like Kroger would be OK. That way they can buy what they want and also have some grocery "money" when/if they need it.
