first of all, i kick myself in the for not looking earlier and waiting for my mom to come around to go with me.. but yesterday i went and found the prettiest dress, and i loved it so much!! it was close to $800 without the veil. does wedding dresses usually cost that much??? also i got my measurements and Im a size 12/10!!! i want to lose inches but dont know if i can do it within a month!!


how much did u pay for ur wedding dress? would you consider buying it off Ebay? im thinking about that

Yep Im with Liz. Check places she suggested. I wore my moms too and only spent $75 to get it altered and a veil made.

Yep, dresses are VERY expensive. Look in the newspaper too. If you lose more weight, it can always be taken in. You can get a cheaper dress, you just have to really look around. My dress was $1000, but I fell in love with it, didn't bother looking anywhere else.

My dress was $300 and the most beautiful dress in the world! Check the places already suggested but also check smaller boutiques - sometimes they are willing to give you a deal. That's how I got mine!

Yes they can be very very expensive. Check re-sale shops also. Mine was not a traditional dress and was only $35...

I got mine off Ebay for $350. Brand new clean, never been worn. it was beautiful. But just make sure you will have time to get any alterations done.

Mine was $800 also...I would think timewise you would really be pushing it if you tried Ebay. Definately try some of those other places. If you do order off Ebay, make sure you go by measurements NOT size....wedding dresses are all made different and most run small.

I would try a bridal gown resale shop. I bought mine from one and paid less than $300 for my dress. I borrowed a veil from a friend so that saved me some money.

I hope you find one that you like and can afford soon. Bridal gown shopping was the most fun part to me
