Mother's Day Breakfast

Well, as of this morning, I am now in charge of the Mother's Day breakfast at church. Oy! Food, decorations, gifts, everything.

I know in the past, they have served eggs and ham or bacon. I have no idea what else they've had. But there are some people that don't really like "breakfast food". Anyhow… They serve breakfast for all of the women and children and then they give the mothers a gift. They try to keep it at about $1 per person per gift and they plan for 50 people. They usually end up with something from Dollar Tree. And the last few years, they've been kind of cheesy. So, I need to think on something to make or get for them.

This may prove to be a challenge. Any tips or gift ideas would be appreciated.

It's breakfast so what other kind of food would they expect?

I'll try and think of some cheap things you can buy or make for gifts.

One year my kids gave to their grandma a ceramic flower pot we got at the dollar store that had flowers painted on it. We put Easter grass in it (it was for Easter) and a packet of flower seeds. The seeds were like 5 cents a pack. Maybe something like that for the moms?
