Twins???????

Anyone ever had an early US done and two "gestational sacs" appear but one is questionable? Yesterday when I had mine done, supposedly at 6 weeks, she said it looked more like 4 maybe 5 1/2 weeks and that the "one" sac had irregular edges. That one she said was probably an implantation bleed, yet I have never had one iota of a drop of blood since I became pregnant. Anyone else experience this?

It definitely was two black spots.

I had an u/s done at 6 weeks after my miscarriage and there were 2 11mm dots on the screen.

I was still pg with twins.

Congratulations

I don't know anything about irregular sacs tho, sorry.

Angela, I was already having trouble fitting into my 'normal' clothes at 6 weeks too, and it was only my 2nd pg

That is very common with twins, I'm sure I remember Heather saying the same thing too.

Congratulations!

The only thing I've heard of is a disappearing twin. (One baby absorbs the other baby) Did they mention that?

Congratulations!

I really have no idea. You might ask the doctor next time you are there. If it's a possibility, they will probably do another ultrasound in a few weeks to check and make sure.

Yes, I have read alot about that Ivissers. In fact, they say that about 1 in 6 of us started out as a twin they think.

Congrats on your anniversary Dina!

Congratulations!!! My middle child was originally a twin. I don't remember anything being said about the sac being abnormal, the baby's heart was beating at 8 weeks, at 12 it wasn't and than the baby was reabsorbed. I hope you get good news, and have both your twins!

Thanks LittleBIt. I was wondering if your DH was deployed. I am so happy he is coming home soon. Please tell him thanks and thanks to you too for his service! Also, congrats on the March baby! You must be so sleep deprived. Has DH been able to see any of the baby at all?

Not looking good ladies. Talked to the nurse today. She said no twins and no fetal pole or yolk in the sac. I have to have another US on Wed. It is killing me. I feel like I have lost it already or am losing it. I have cried all evening. I do not know how to hold onto "maybe it is okay and just newer preg. than first thought".

I'm sorry you are going thru this Angela

I sometimes think it was easier when we had no access to such early intervention.

I'm so sorry It's the worst not knowing
When I had my first u/s with the bub I'm carrying now, I was 5 weeks. There were 2 sacs with nothing at all to be seen in them. They were just black holes. One of them was much smaller, so it was assumed that it wouldn't end up viable.
At 8 weeks I had another u/s and there was only one sac still there and finally a yolk sac and tiny heartbeat inside a teensy white speck (the baby).
Maybe you're only 5 weeks. There's no yolk or baby to be seen when you're that early. Don't give up hope

Didn't turn out good

Well, what a whirlwind 7 days.
Friday the 25th I had the ultrasound. Monday, found out no twins and very early pregancy. Tuesday, began to bleed.
Thursday, passing clots, went to doc. Said it did not look good. Friday, carmping. Went to doc then into surgery for D & C.
Lost it.

I wish I had the magic words to heal your pain but I'm afraid they don't exist, but please know I'm thinking of you
