My cousin lives in TX--about an hour or so from my mom. She is expecting in May. This is her second child. It's going to be a girl. Her son is 9. She has most of what she needs, as far as the big stuff goes. The nursery is ready. But she told my mom she needs diapers and wipes and bath stuff. I would really like to get her a gift. I had intended to make her a baby blanket, but I just haven't had the time. My question is this... She has registered at one place that I know of. And I know a few things she wants. If I purchase online, the shipping is pretty high. I can go to the store and get what she wants and mail it cheaper. But is it really worth it to try to mail a package of diapers, wipes, bath stuff, etc.???? I want to pick out something for her, but I don't really want to mail a buch of stuff she could get for her self. Not knowing what kind of diapers and wipes she'd want, anyhow. I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to just pick up a hooded towel and mail a gift card with it. That way she gets a gift, but she also gets money to go and pick out what she wants/needs.
