Need Suggestions for a Girl's Name

We know Karson will be the middle name if we have a girl, but we can't seem to come up with a first name that we like or can agree on. I really love the name Katherine but don't like how Katherine Karson flows. And since our last name starts with K - wouldn't want her to have KKK as her initials and really don't want to change the spelling of Karson or use Catherine instead.

Anyway, please throw out some suggestions for us. We like traditional names and well-known names but don't want one that is so popular that there'll be 8 of them in their class. And it'd be nice to have a long first name to go with Alexander and Elizabeth, but it's not necessary considering we've decided on Peter Carson if we have boy.

I am still working on Billy to use Karson as a first name so keep your fingers crossed for me, please.

Thanks ladies!

We actually considered Rebecca but I had a roommate in college named that and I know I'd think of her everytime I said the name. While I liked her, I decided to not use the name.

Anna is my favorite but of course Billy doesn't like it.

Mary is Billy's grandmother's and mother's first names so it would be nice to use it, but I personally don't like Mary Karson. If he agrees to Karson as a first name then we'll use Mary as the middle name.

You ladies have given me lots of great names to consider - thanks so much!

I love the above suggestion of Olivia Karson. I think that is adorable. I also think Karson for a first name is cute.

I think with Karson names that start with a vowel or end with a vowel sound best for some reason.

So far my favorites have been vetoed by Mr. William. Arrgh! I still have this feeling we're having a boy but I still want a girl's name picked out just in case I'm wrong. And I should say his favorite have been vetoed by me so I can't really be mad at him. I'm just frustrated that we're having such a hard time!

What are your favorites and what are his favorites? Maybe someone on the board could come up with a compromise???

My favorites are:
Anna Karson
Leah Karson
Karson Mary (He won't go for Karson as a first name)

His favorites are:
Rebecca Karson
Mary Karson (I don't like it this way but like them reversed)
Sarah Karson

And what's everyone's opinion on Katherine Carson/Carsyn/Carsen? We'd change the spelling of Karson (although that's really my most favorite spelling) because we wouldn't want the poor child to have KKK as their initials. My feeling is that the two names just don't flow but am curious as to what others think.

Thanks for your help, Tammy!

I think Katherine Carson sounds pretty. I like that together.
Your names are my favorites, too! I love Anna Karson and Leah Karson.
The only compromise I can think of is if you can talk him into some variation/combination of Mary and Anna for the first name like Maryanna or Maryanne, neither of which are great in my opinion. I say send him out of the room when it's time to name her and go with one of your favorites!
Anyone else have any compromises in mind???
