His and hers baby shower gifts?

My BIL and his wife are having a baby in about 4 months and we were thinking of giving them his and her gifts. I made a blanket for her and we were thinking of giving him a this book - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...152977-5992933

it's a baby care book for men for those who don't feel like looking it up. Steve has a copy and he loves it. He just wishes we'd gotten it sooner.

Have you heard of giving a baby gift to the father as well as the mother?

My mom and aunts bought that book for my DH when I was pregnant with the twins, so yep I have heard of a gift for dad too.

Yep ! My friend Kari made a darling "daddy to be " gift for Jack - she took a carpenter's apron and painted it up, and loaded the pockets with diapers, a travel size wipe holder, and some other stuff! Jack LOOVED it !
