Sydney was Christened when she was 8 months old, but we haven't had Livia's yet.

Zachary, Bailey and Emily were all 'dedicated' on the same day at our church but we haven't done Payton's yet. Another 4th child thing...just forgot/haven't done it yet. bad mommy!

Well you guys didn't 'vote' so according to the poll 100% of BabyU baby's are NOT baptised

Ok so my kids are heathens, but I refuse to lie about it.

I am not going to stand up in front of a whole bunch of people I don't know and say I'm going to raise my children as ........ regular church going people (I'll leave out what I really said to my DH). I have no intention of attending church and I certainly am not going to send my children.

I did give Des the option of organising it himself, but I guess it didn't really mean that much to him after all.

Nope.

Only because we don't go to church.

We believe in God, but don't go to church.

Matt was raised Catholic, and I in a Methodist church.

Yes ~ they both are. It's very important to us. Alyssa was about a month old and Kate was 2 months (she would have been within a month too but due to the Christmas holiday we had problems getting everyone together)

Nope. I believe relgion or lack thereof is a personal choice for the individual. When she grows up, if she wants to be baptisted, she's more than welcome to.

Yes, Katie was baptized Catholic. We've been taking her to church too. I don't share all of the beliefs but I do like the feeling of belonging to a "parish family". If she chooses to go to another church when she gets older it wouldn't bother me at all. I have a strong faith and it's gotten me through many a rough time. I hope she'll be able to rely on her faith too.

Emily was dedicated when she was 16 months old. Our church doesn't baptize babies. It is also very important to me to have this in Emily's life. We are Christians and believe in the Bible, and so we have promised to raise her in a Christian home. When she grows up, it will be her choice to continue that or to pursue other things.

Both of my children were baptised one month and one day old. It was not done on purpose that way. I feel in my religion that I follow that I baptised them and should lead them in the catholic way. THis is my responsibility as a parent. When it cones time for confirmation and they don't want to I will support them. Let them decide what religion they will become. I hope that with the upbringing they have received that they will be confirmed Catholic and continue in this faith. But if they don't I understand.

Our kids were both baptized in the Catholic church last June. Alexander was 3 & Elizabeth was 1. We plan to have this child baptized as well. I feel the same way as Jan does.

All of my chidrlen have been dedicated.

Yes, they are both baptized.

We had him dedicated when he was a few months old. On Mother's Day, I think. It was more about us signifying that we intended to raise him in church, etc. But we believe baptism is a decision he should make for himself when he is old enough to understand about church membership.

That's how it is at our church too Dina

Brandon has been dedicated and when he becomes of an age where he can make the decision, he will be baptised.

Justin hasn't been dedicated yet.

Our church is the same way as Dina's.

Alisha has been Baptised. Twice as a matter of fact. Once when just a newborn, because they were afraid she might die and so we had it done. Second time when she started St. Alberts. in the church with Godparents and a Priest.

We aren't church-goers, so Joey's not been baptized. However, when he's older, I will encourage him to find his faith, and if baptism is part of it, I will be accepting.

we will support him and stuff but no batism here or dedication or anything
