LH Surges

Thread Starter
Can one of the older TTC ladies answer a question for me? I am using OPKs. I had an LH surge on Saturday and Sunday. And I'm still reading an LH surge today. Although it was strongest over the weekend. I know that middle aged women are prone to having more LH surges and an LH surge does not necessarily indicate ovulation. I'm wondering if my stupid tests are bad because of their age. I've had them awhile - maybe a few months. I swear I saw two lines on them before I even used them. Oh well, I am using the Baby U pregnancy planning chart too. Can an LH surge last a really long time?

Lenora, quit using those stupid tests!
Just everyday and you can't miss it

Between cycle day 10 and 20 is the best time to go like rabbits.
It's going to happen Hon I bet within the next 2 cycles. Just PUT THOSE DANG TESTS IN THE BIN already!

Not everyday, every other day. Give his little guys a chance to build up

Also...here is how I can tell when I have ovulated...this is going to sound gross, but I swear it works for me...about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks after my period...EVERYTIME I go to the bathroom and wipe...I look at the toliet paper. When you have ovulated there should be some discharge and it is like a clump...if you touch it...it should be sticky...looks like egg whites.

When I was TTC I did the temp chart...it worked, but I can tell more about the discharge.

I used the home ovulation kits and I couldn't make heads or tails of them. The week that I thought I usually ovulated...the test I couldn't tell. To me the kits are a waste of money.
