Do you give your child vitamins? What kind? Do you do so on the recommendation of your doctor?

We give Olivia any of the children's One A Day Vitamins. We started to give them to her because she doesn't always eat like she should. The darn buggers are so hard to split in half though.

We started giving Alexander Flintstone vitamins when he was about 2 1/2 because he just didn't eat that much and we wanted to make sure he was getting all the vitamins he needed. Elizabeth gets them because she wanted them too. Our pediatrician said there was no real need as long as they ate balanced diets but we feel better giving them vitamins since it doesn't hurt them.

I asked our Ped. about this at Sydney's 3yr. check-up (probably her 2yr. one too) and he said that as long as she is eating her fruits and vegetables, there is no need to give her a vitamin. So I think we're good!

We used to give Brandon the Flintstones, but we dwindled off. Need to start again because he wouild rather die than consume a vegetable.
