Have you ever stopped an ice cream truck and enjoyed an ice cream with your child?

I thought this might be something fun to do with Kate that my parents never did with me.

I don't. I have this thing about the ice cream man/truck and I get the heebie jeebies.
Jason does for them all the time or we jsut give them the money and Hailey and COri will run out there to get it.

nope - the DQ is 1/2 block from the house - I'd much rather go there.

No, because the idiot who runs in my area doesn't come thru until around 9pm, and by then DS is in bed.

This is actually a pet peeve on mine.
We use to have an ice cream truck in the neighborhood where I grew up.

Here - NOTHING!!! NADA!!! Never EVER have seen one in my town. I feel horrible that Kyler is going to miss out on this. One of the simple pleasures in life that bring back good memories for me.

I'm so glad to hear that someone else is the same way Jen!

We don't have one around here, plus I am picky and usually only eat ice cream at DQ or Culvers.
Good, I was thinking I would be the only one that did not like it.
Nope. We don't have them here.

Plus we can just go to the DQ!

Ice cream trucks are one of those part of being a kid things that I didnt' get to do as a kid. When Kate's a little older, we will be definitely stopping the ice cream truck. The one we have looks extremely hygenic. The freezers literally gleam. Of course, I know our Dept. of Agriculture is on top of it and constantly inspects all the ice cream sold in my state.

We had an ice cream truck that came through the bus stop in Miami. She had a dirty old beat up van and I just thought the van was to nasty looking to eat anything out of it. I don't trust them.

Yeah sort to have to when he pulls in your driveway!

I would definitly let my kids. There's something Anytown USA about an icecream truck Especially since DH says he never went as a kid. It's just one of the ways you know summer is here.

They never came through our neighborhood when I was growing up. We lived in the country.

They come by our house all the time. The neighborhood kids love them. We've never stopped one, because Jonathan doesn't like ice cream. But I've been tempted to stop them for myself a few times.

They don't come out to the country or I would.
We don't have an icecream truck in the neighboorhood, but I would if we did.

We haven't had one come through the neighborhood, but if we did I would do it. You are so right, the kids love it, and it's easy and cheap fun!
