Does your family have occasional no t.v. days? We had one yesterday and it turned out great. Only turned the t.v. on twice - once to keep Elizabeth's attention while I took her temperature and once when the kids were in the pool and Billy was grilling and I was in the house resting. Was on for maybe a total of 30 minutes.
We did what we've heard is possible and spent a lot more quality time with our kids. Didn't realize how much time we do waste in front of the t.v., even though we do limit how much they are allowed to watch each day. We played games, read, played, danced and had a lot of fun. I look forward to our future no t.v. days!

I would go through withdrawl! Seriously, I have to have the background noise. We don't have a stereo. The kids never just sit and watch TV constantly, they are forever in and out of the room. We play outside a lot also.
