This came up in discussion with MIL while they were visiting.

Do you think of the name "Riley" is a boy's name, girls's name, or either one?

It is unisex but I believe that it was a boy's name first.

You could use it for either. One of my co-workers has a son about 7-8 that is named Riley. I think it would be cute for either.

We have it for a middle name if we ever have a boy. I too think either.

Either one but I am leaning girl.

I think it could be used for either - isn't Leah's oldest Sydney Riley Marie ?

Either one. Connors middle name is Riley.

I would say boy.

I think either one... however, I know a girl named Riley... so I'm leaning towards girl.

I think either but I voted girl. I think it's a VERY cute girl name.

I like it for either. I had considered naming rhyne that. It was going to be Rhyne Riley or Riley Rhyne....but dh didn't like them together too much

Boy for me.

And not just because Buffy had a 'normal' boyfriend for a season called Riley

I think it is unisex, but I think of it first as a boy's name since I know two boys named Riley.

It's definitely unisex!

Hard to distinguish gender

Waaaaaay too popular IMO! There are lots of nice "r" names for boys and girls, that won't make it hard to distinguish gender!
