Dora for boys??

I am trying to decide on a theme for Nicks 2nd birthday party. He loves Dora and blues clues, but I really think he likes Dora better. Do you think it would be okay for a boy to have a Dora party?? I have found some supplies that are more neutral in colors...

I'm bidding on this for him either way..

What do you think?

I think it would be fine. TJ is really into Dora as well and I always have to try to sway him away. He's dying for a Dora backpack, but it's pink and frilly and I know Mike would kill me

I think Dora the cartoon is neutral but a lot of the stuff they have it seems to be pink. But if you can find neutral stuff, I say go for it.1

Just think of the possibilities .. you could have games using "map" to go over to the picnic table, down by the rose bush and through the big, green, garden to the treasure chest!

Dora does have his cousin Diego. I think you could do it. I got Tre a huge stuffed Dora one Christmas.

That is actually a good idea. Too bad Kel's b-day is in winter. With my directions, they'd be buried in a snow pile...lol

Sure, I think it would be fine. Maybe call it an "Explorer" party and do some jungle things.

I haven't talked to Mike yet, but even if he didn't like it I think I could talk him into it as long as I stay away from pink, lol. If Mike says no then I guess I have to go with Blues Clues which he really likes to and could be just as fun.

Great ideas...thanks. Now I have to convince Mike, lol. I think I could do it to where it wouldn't be to girly.

i think it is a great idea.. it is unfortunate that most of the retail dora stuff is so girly, logan likes it alot too!

At his age, who cares? He doesn't know what is supposed to be "boy" or "girl". I love the backpack! Too cute!

Mike is cool with a Dora party so that is going to be his theme. I'm so excited, he is going to love it.

I don't think it matters, Tara. There's nothing wrong with a little boy for admiring a little girl or visa versa. My dd likes a lot of "boys" things too. It sounds like it's going to be a great party!

I think you can make it a great party!

Do they have anything with Dora and Diego on it? Or the whole gang?

I think it would be fine. He's young and it's very popular right now, so why not.

I like the supplies from the second place...since it does have boots on it.

I would think it was fine to have a Dora party...my nephew loves Dora...for Halloween last year he carried the backpack thingy you put candy in...I can't think today.
