How did you find BabyU?

I am just wondering how we all found BabyU...word of mouth..friend or search.

I found BabyU through a search and for the life of me I can't remember where. I think probably Lycos or something like that.

Finally!! LOL

I FINALLY found out how I found BabyU! I did a search for Baby Freebies in Yahoo.. and BabyU came up! And just decided to check it out! I don't even think i looked at the freebies!! LOL

It's been so long that I don't remember how I found BabyU. I believe I was getting email before the baby boards started but then again my memory is not the greatest.

Ummm -- I had this dream one night. This big baby in nothing but a diaper said "Build it and they will come". Then I woke up in labor & the next day gave birth to this whopper of a baby.

Oh - you weren't asking me -- Where you?


LOL -- Can you tell I'm glad it's Friday?????

How I found Baby U!

I found it through a search at yahoo typed in Baby and it was one of the links that came up!

I also found BabyU while searching yahoo for baby freebies. I watched the boards for a day or two and then joined. It was one of the best decisions of my life. I dont know what I would do without you ladies. sniff sniff.

Thank you for all the lovely comments! It does my heart good to hear how much you enjoy BabyU! I can't tell you how much more I enjoy maintaining the site since everyone has joined. I feel like I've made a ton of new friends!

And thank you to everyone that has responded to this poll. It helps me know what works and what doesn't in getting the word out. If you haven't answered yet and could take a second to do so, I'd really appreciate it.

Yesterday was a record breaking day -- tons of visitors and new members. I'd love to hear how these folks found us as well as those that have been visiting us for awhile! If you haven't answered yet and could take a second to do so, I'd really appreciate it.

I read an article about Dawn and BabyU in the Winston-Salem Journal (newspaper) and thought I'd check it out. It really helped me because we had just moved and I didn't know anyone here at first. I do have some friends now, but I still enjoy talking to everyone!

I found BabyU through a link in one of the parenting newsletters I get. Sorry, I don't remember which one. I have to say it has quickly become my favorite site. It's great to have a place to chat with other mothers and the topics that come up are wonderful! I have recommended it to several of my friends and they all like it as much as I do!

Ohh, I just remembered! I think it was MainStreetMoms.

freebies page I think

I can't quite remember but I think I found it from either a freebies page for babies or from a mom's chat group. BUT I am sure glad i found it. I enjoy posting here so much and getting to know people here. While jenna is napping and when I need a break from packing (we're moving on April 21st), I just log on and post away. It's relaxing and I learn alot about all sorts of things. Everyone is so nice and friendly and helpful.
This was a GREAT idea Dawn and I love the idea of a university. Keep up the great work!

Ummmm...I came across BabyU.....

when I was searching for a place to get information about TTC. And that was through MSN search. And like everybody else, a few days of jumping about the site...was totally hooked!!!!!

Thanks Dawn for such a GREAT place to meet people and share ideas!!!!!!!

I found baby u first through 20ish parents and forgot to bookmark it. I found it again through 4militaryparents.com. And thank goodness I did. I'm getting tired of some of the clubs at Yahoo.

Wendy sent me a card from here congratulating me on my new baby... but i hadnt found out about the knowledge of real life moms could really help that much... and then I was going on the internet to get help with my baby problems and was using another site. and then I was visiting wendys webpage to see new cute pictures of cute little christian and on her guestbook somebody said they were from here so I came to check it out and was impressed how personable and friendly people are here. Havent gone back to the other site since!

I was in a parenting chatroom when I start talking to this lady, Robyn. She told me about BabyU, I looked at it a few times, then finally signed up once I wasn't so overwhelmed with all the great people and things on this site!

I can't remember if I found it while looking for freebies or baby names, but it was one of the two... LOL not much help am I? But like several of the other women, I spent a few days reading the boards before I actually signed up. The great people are what got me hooked! If it helps, I can tell you what turned me away from several other baby sites... their boards were full of hotly disputed debates about decisions that people had made or were trying to make. Instead of simply offering an opinion, most of the people there tried to cram it down everyone else's throat. I hate that!

Thank you again Dawn, for making a site where we can get together and talk, even with different opinions, without starting WWIII!

I was actually looking on the web for parenting sites because my 2 year old son has been acting really jealous of his sister who will bw a year next month. I wanted to know what i could do so I could make him feel more comfortable, or include him in more ways.
