My mom...my dad would let me slip by with just about anything.

Growing up, my dad was the hardest on me. I could get away with just about anything with my mom!

My dad encouraged me and helped me to succeede and my mom has always let me down (never came to my events after she said she would ~ and had nothing else going)

But neither have ever been tough on me ~ growing up ~ NOW my momis tough on my parenting skills.

Neither, because I don't talk to them anymore.

Growing up I was never perfect enough for either of them. They never passed up an opportunity to let me know what a disappointment I was to them.

Neither-- my mom was a pushover, and Dad was either not around or wanted to be the "good guy." My step dad was tough on me, telling me that if I learned something the hard way first (driving stick before automatic, for example) then any other way would be simple. Even though I hate him now, the one good thing he did for me was teach me to push myself.

My Dad when I was younger and now it's my Mother. She is my toughest critic.

My mom. She had a difficult life growing up and wanted things to be better for me so she pushed me a lot.
