I made dinner and the place settings were wrong, how in the world can it be wrong?

Luckily, my MIL is fabulous, and so she is always very sweet, positive, and helpful in those situations. If she has anything negative to say, I never hear it, so that is fine with me.

I only see my MIL once a year, and it would be a long walk home (2500+ miles ) so I don't think she'd dare criticize my cooking! Seriously though, she's always been complimentary on my cooking ... I'm sure she doesn't get good southern cooking out in New Mexico.

And I pity the person that tells me my place setting is wrong! Heck - we eat off of paper plates around here!

That I didn't do the cooking. Seriously, dh always likes to show off his cooking skills for his family and normally his mother is very appreciative. Well, one time BIL and SIL weren't because he took over cooking in their kitchen. They always cook something I can't have that is very greasy and he didn't want to deal with me having to go hungry so he cooked and that ticked them off.
