How much does the meaning of a babies name mean to you?

If you like a name but dont like the meaning would you it?

I remember Caitlyn means pure. I can't remember what Susanne means. I picked them because I thought they were pretty.

The meaning doesn't matter that much to me either. One of the names I like is mostly remembered as being a demon in the bible if you use the spelling I like.

Well, I really like the name Darcy, but the meaning is dark one or something like that, so that kind of turned me off to the name. I didn't pick Emily's name--Emily Kate--because of the meaning. In fact, I can't even tell you what her names mean.

I might not use it....I don't know. Luckily the name we chose had a perfect meaning for us. We wanted a Biblical name and dh picked Zachariah. His name means...remembered by the Lord. And after losing one baby we KNOW that Zach's name fits him perfectly.

I didnt look up meanings - although with lys I was looking at meanings when I was looking at names.

Well, it really the depends on the meaning......
I liked the name Kameron...but when we found out it means bent nose or something like that....well it was a big turn off. I rember in school doing a name meaning thing and this one guys name meant bitter wagon......wasn't pretty for him for a few days!!!
