Bunk beds...

Got the boys bunk beds for Brandon's birthday. Rooms to Go forgot to deliver the ladder. DH called several days later and they had no info in the computer that the ladder wasn't delivered. So now I have to go pick it up on Friday after work. Like I don't have enough to do!

Anyway, not so sure if they are a good idea. Nighttime has been a wreck. Though they can't wait to go to bed.... Brandon won't sleep on top until the ladder comes because he jumped down and hurt himself, so they are sharing the bottom bed. As you can imagine, that is a nightmare. There is nightly giggling, laughing, playing, hitting, wrestling, crying etc. I have to go upstairs about 20 times a night to threaten them. Last 2 nights DH has finally gone up and laid with them until the fall asleep.

CAN'T WAIT TO GET THE LADDER! What was I thinking??

Is Friday the earliest you can pick it up?

My ladder is facing the wall. But that does not stop my boy, he scales the dresser in ways to get up top.

I hope you get your ladder soon and tell Brandon I said for him to be careful because Trey broke his leg on the top jumping down.

I so thought that while I was in Florida DH would have to be taking someone to the emergency room for that reason. Brandon has climbed/jumped down and I ask him how he did it and he tells me he doesn't know. I am afraid to have the ladder also, because Justin was all over the beds at Rooms To Go showroom, he has no fear and I know he will go up there. Then I worry about the ceiling fan with them jumping. I guess there is nothing you can do, boys will be boys!

Nope, ladder will not be there until Friday for whatever reason.

We have bunk beds...they are seperated and BOTH on the floor. My policy is no kids under 5 in the top bunk I have the same problem with Jess and climbing. So until Jess is a little older mine will stay seperate. Another note.....they can make the potty thing harder.I have found when Jake wakes in the night to go...he has to go NOW, and the climb down the ladder would probably = an accident...either he pees himself or falls.

Why on earth would they not have a ladder???
