DH kind of hurt by his family

Thursday afternoon I saw my inlaws go next door to Eric's brother's house. I told Eric that they were there...they might stop by here on the way out. Eric dips and his dad doesn't approve so Eric doesn't do it around them...he doesn't want to hear the fuss. So I warn him when I see his parents coming.

Well, they didn't stop...what's new huh? Eric called them and said well since you drove by did you look at the yard? He said the next time you are close by...stop and look at Elizabeth's house...I've finished it.

He made the remark to me that they drove right by here and didn't stop...he said I should ask them why didn't they stop and see Elizabeth. He said we know who the real grandparents are...I kind of look at him funny...he said at least your parents forked out $3000 to fix her teeth and my parents didn't offer...they haven't even asked how her teeth are doing. Of couse I'm going to pay my parents back, but at least they did offer.

I know Eric says that he doesn't care about how his family treats us, but I know he does. He knows that Elizabeth will never be treated the way the other grandchild is.

I told Eric that the reason they never stop is because of me...they apparently don't care for me much now...I don't know why.

Thanks for letting me vent.

that sucks. I'm sorry they don't treat Elizabeth the same as the other grandkids. At least your parents do, she has the important grandparents in her life.

I'm sorry that you have to deal with these idiots. We have the same problem with my MIL and as much as you try not to let it hurt, it still does. And they just don't get it.

Thank you. Last year I thought I would make an effort to take Elizabeth to see my inlaws. Everytime I would go...they acted like they could have cared less if she was there.

Also like last year...they had to pick up my BIL's child from daycare everyday for about a month or so. Did they ever stop here to see Elizabeth...no. Eric wasn't ever here when they came thru so they didn't stop. Its like they could give a rats a$$ about seeing Elizabeth.

I don't mean to keep going on and on, but I just get so pi$$ed at times. Even when we lived in Birmingham I knew what was going on here and stayed pi$$ed. If I ever say anything it won't be the right thing. They will just say I am trying to stir up trouble.

Libby that just stinks. I come and see Elizabeth any time, they do not know what they are missing. There bad, they will regret it some day.
